Yummy Herb Crusted Salmon with Spinach Rice. (*mouth watering*) Here is a great recipe you (or the family) and your dog to enjoy! We also steamed a bag of carrots, broccoli and cauliflower just to make it a complete meal but you can do a salad for yourself instead. Dogs sure do love carrots, broccoli and cauliflower though and so do we! Dogs LOVE salmon and it’s a good source of omega-3 fatty acids as well!
Before we get started, we just wanted to explain how the process works. The ingredients lists are split up into the main ingredients the dog can consume, and ingredients to add for the human portion. We chose to not include garlic, onion, lemon juice, butter and salt and pepper in the dog portion of the meal because these ingredients might make a pup sick.
Ingredients:
2 Salmon filets
2 tablespoons of dried parsley
¼ cup of grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
Add in for humans:
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon melted butter
½ tablespoon lemon juice
Directions:
Ingredients:
1 cup spinach, chopped
1 cup brown rice
1 ¾ cups low sodium vegetable or chicken stock
Add in for humans:
½ onion
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tablespoon butter
Directions:
*Garlic is good for dogs in small doses so if your comfortable adding garlic to the dog portion, go for it! Just remember not to feed them onion!
Now all you need to do is plate, add your veggie dish and it’s ready to be served! Your dog will LOVE this special meal and we hope you enjoy too! So, if it’s your dog’s Birthday or another special occasion, we highly recommend making this for them. After all, good puppies need good food too!
