NaturPet products are all natural remedies containing herbs that strengthen and prime the body. These herbs not only help our cats and dogs, but they’re good for us too! After realizing that quite a few people are also benefiting from our pet products, we decided to write this blog post to highlight a few products that we’ve heard (or learned for ourselves!) work well for humans too.

The following list shows products that we have used on ourselves or that we have had customer feedback on. However, every one of NaturPet’s products uses high quality, human grade herbal extracts that are totally safe for humans.

NaturPet’s Paw & Skin soothes and eliminates pimples and blemishes and is good for dry, cracked elbows and feet.

One of NaturPet’s employees was on a hike with her daughter when they both rubbed up against a bush that gave them both red, itchy hives that they couldn’t stop scratching. After applying NaturPet Paw & Skin the hives disappeared within 10 minutes and were no longer itchy! Another customer reported using Paw & Skin when she had a bad reaction to some jewellery.

Ear Drops for Ear Pain and Infections

This one I can personally attest to. When I was a kid I got ear infections all the time – probably about 5 or 6 a year. So I am very familiar with what exactly it feels like to be getting one. A few weeks ago I was battling a head cold and started feeling the classic signs. Pain in my ear, loss of hearing, the feeling like there is a bubble over my ear. I really hate to have to go to the doctor and get antibiotics, so I asked someone in the office about natural remedies for ear infections. They recommended NaturPet Ear Drops! I placed a few drops in my ear and by the next day the pain and hearing loss was completely gone. The day after that my ear was hurting a little bit so I kept using the drops for a couple of days and my ear returned back to normal.

Another customer reported that her daughter had a lot of pain in one of her ears, so she put NaturPet Ear Drops in her ear that night and again the next day. After that the pain was completely gone. No doctor visits or antibiotics necessary.

Dosing for Humans

While you are probably heavier than the weights listed on the dosing instructions, you can still use it as a guide. For example, Urinary Care’s dosage chart says to use 2.0ml for a 76lb dog. If you are around 150lbs you could take a 4.0ml dose.

Since dogs have faster metabolisms than us, they only need 2 doses a day. Humans can take 3 doses because our bodies need more opportunities to absorb plant chemicals. So a 150lb person could take 4.0ml of Urinary Care 3 times a day for a total of 12.0ml.

If you have any questions about the herbs in our products, don’t hesitate to give us a call or an email.
